Hi, and welcome to Study Group Of Studyblrs (we need a proper name, but more on that later)!
I have been pretty much overwhelmed by the interest you people showed when I thew the idea out there, so I have had to rethink the consept. First, I am always open for suggestions and ideas and everything (and also, if you find broken sentences or typos or anything, please let me know, English is not my first language.)
I really don’t think we need a lot of rules but it goes without saying that any kind of harassing behavior, putting others down or being an utterly insufferable twat will lead into immediate banning from the study group. If you notice this kind of behavior, please inform me (Hermione Sparkle). You can use a nickname or a real name but please don’t be stupid about giving your personal information to strangers.
So, how does this thing work? I was thinking that the main purpose of this group aside from discussing would be setting yourself study goals and keeping track of those goals (after all, what’s a better motivation than peer pressure?). But, I remind you, this is not a competition. Everyone has their own strategies and styles and speeds to learn, so don’t make this a competition! It’s not useful to anybody. I haven’t created any proper study group docs yet, because I think we should first talk about practical stuff.
I ended up making a message board, since there are so many of us and Google Docs would have been impracticial. For now, only this board is public; when you register, you will see the Introductions board. When we get to that, all boards beside this will be invisible to guests so that this will be a nice and safe place to chat.
Please share your thoughts with me in the document “Feedback + suggestions”! Let’s make this our group and not mine. Also, please be patient since we're just starting.
I’m glad that you’re here. When you join us, please introduce yourself! The board “Introductions” is for that and contains information on how you do that. Notice that you can't see said board if you're not logged in.
I hope you enjoy being part of this group and find a lot of study inspiration here!
